Amrita Rao was born on June 7, 1985 in Mumbai but is originally from Mangalore, Karnataka who speaks fluent Konkani, Hindi and English. She completed a degree in psychology at Sophia College. Amrita got into modeling by an accident when she was selected for the Fair Ever Fairness cream campaign out of 54 girls in Chennai.

Synopsis:
‘Victory’ is the story of a father, Ram Shekhawat (Anupam Kher), who saw an impossible dream for his son, the dream of making his son a famous cricketer. This is also the heroic dream of his son Vijay Shekhawat (Harman).
Hailing from the small town of Jaisalmer, Vijay Shekhawat becomes India’s latest world-class batting sensation and is catapulted into stardom. But it is the glamour and glitter of this very demi-God status that makes the young, vulnerable small-town boy Vijay stray away from the true vocation of cricket. Unfortunately, this leads to a loss of focus and to a miserable drop in his
performance. But by the time Vijay realizes the error of his ways, it is too late. Vijay finds himself thrown out of the Indian cricket team because of disciplinary reasons.In one fell swoop, the hero of the cricket-crazy India becomes a villain in everyone’s eyes. His father Ram Shekhawat’s dreams are shattered and the old man suffers a paralytic stroke.

In this match, Vijay fulfills his father’s dream and enters the pantheon of Indian cricket.
